Anna Raven (born.1956) grew up in Cambridge where her father was an academic and keen field botanist. With long academic holidays she had the opportunity to frequently visit the West Coast of Scotland and from her father developed an interest in plants and the call of wild places.

Anna Raven (born.1956) grew up in Cambridge where her father was an academic and keen field botanist. With long academic holidays she had the opportunity to frequently visit the West Coast of Scotland and from her father developed an interest in plants and the call of wild places. Anna studied fine art at Bath Academy of Art (1976-’79) and has spent her life working across disciplines - from gardens to printmaking, ceramics to painting - with much of her work a personal response to the natural world and the relationship between nature and the inner self. She established her first studio in London.
